Identiq Clinic | Dental Care
Bucharest
Completed, 2022
The Identiq Clinic project was born from an atypical premise: the desire of the clients – he, a specialist in dentistry and implantology, she, a visual artist in the field of textile art – to unify two completely different worlds within an already built space. The architectural program required the integration of a complete dental clinic (five treatment rooms and two rooms with en-suite bathrooms for patient accommodation and recovery), which would simultaneously function as an art gallery and an educational space, through a multifunctional room dedicated to courses and meetings.
The concept focused on neutralizing the cold atmosphere typical of medical facilities. To harmoniously blend the two functions, the space was treated in a warm manner, uncharacteristic of traditional clinics, transforming the doctor's visit into a soothing sensory experience.
This dialogue was translated through precise and contrasting material choices: ceramic flooring that combines the aesthetics of wood with the sobriety of cement, modern solid wood furniture pieces, and microcement finishes inside the treatment rooms, ensuring impeccable hygiene without compromising the design. A central element of the interior design is represented by the wallpaper strips – compositions created by the artist herself – that unfold fluidly from the floor, onto the walls, and up to the ceiling, offering an unexpected visual dynamic.
The lighting was conceived dually: simple, modern fixtures that provide the general light necessary for the medical act, doubled by scenographic accent lighting, meant to highlight the exhibited tapestries. The result is an environment that surprises through its warmth, a welcoming space where the patient is invited to relax, surrounded by art and balance.
